Welcome to the Portmoak Village Hall website
Portmoak Village Hall is a Charitable Trust, the trustees being defined by the Deeds of ownership from amongst the holders of specified posts within the local community.
It is administered and maintained by a voluntary committee of local people. The aims of the committee are:-
- to provide an amenity for local sports and social organisations.
- to report to local users and take note of their developing needs and the needs of community in general.
- to raise funds for the maintenance and operation of the Hall.
- to carry out improvements and maintenance as necessary and/or possible.
As part of these aims private hires for such events as lectures, courses, parties, film shows, etc., are accepted and charges can be found elsewhere on this site.
Portmoak Hall lies on the A911, aproximately one third of a mile west of the village of Scotlandwell.
The Main Hall is marked out with a standard sized badminton court.
A large projection screen is fixed to one wall and can be rolled down so as to allow film and slide projection.
Chairs and tables are available for use within the Hall and are included in any booking charges.
The kitchen has fitted cupboards with a double sink, an electric cooker, and a refrigerator. Kettles and limited crockery and glasses are available.
There are Ladies, Gentlemen’s and disabled toilets, and provision for coats etc. within the entrance corridor.
All necessary insurances and licences are in place, but events at which alcohol is sold require separate licences, which have to be obtained by the event organisers.
Limited car parking is available adjacent to the Hall, but use of the nearby Church car park is allowed subject to there being no clashes with church services etc.
We also have a facebook page which you can visit via this link .
